DIGITAL IMAGING REVENUE UP 12.3%

According to SGIA’s Surveys & Statistics conducted survey, a vast majority of respondents said their digital imaging revenues have increased this year.
“Analysts expect digital imaging revenues to top $8 billion this year and to reach $10 billion by the end of 2006 - and that’s at a conservative rate of growth,” Mr Alan Anderson, Specialty Graphic Imaging Association Vice President, Education & Management Services said. The average revenue increase reported came in at 12.3%, with the largest segment of respondents (30.8%) reporting revenues up by 20% or more.
Respondents were also asked to identify their top three markets and products. Leading their list of markets: advertising (57.9%), corporate identity (45.9%) and retail stores (30.8%). At the top of the digitally imaged products were posters/banners (73%), point-of-purchase materials (56.6%) and pressure-sensitive decals (31.45%). Survey data is available to participants at Surveys & Statistics on SGIA.org.
