SUN CHEMICAL TO UNVIEL SOLARIS PRODUCT LINE AT LABELEXPO EUROP

The company plans a focused group devoted to the sector

Sun Chemical, the world’s largest producer of printing inks and pigments, has announced plans for the European launch of Solaris™, a global product line of inks and coatings formulated to meet the needs of narrow-web printers.
Solaris in Europe will be formally unveiled during Labelexpo Europe, in Brussels, from September 21-24. Recognising the special requirements of narrow-web printers and the growth opportunities for this market, the company has organised a specific product line and teams of dedicated experts who will utilise its global resources to meet the local needs of narrow-web printers.
Solaris promises to offer the best inks and coatings technology available in Sun Chemical from all around the world and will reveal unique and innovative products specifically designed for the narrow web market at Labelexpo.
The company also has plans to form regional teams who will sell proven narrow-web products and will offernarrow web printers extensive experience as they consider broader markets in such areas as flexible packaging, folding carton and shrink sleeves.

It can also offer printers total solution packages through its printing consumables divisions, which include Boss Graphics™ and WebXtras™.
According to company sources, the formal launch of Solaris in Europe cements its commitment to the narrow web market. “Through Solaris, Sun Chemical is creating a focused group that links all the diverse products required in this sector and will provide all product information under one umbrella to customers in Europe, the Americas and other locations.” In the past Sun Chemical has used Onyx as the name for its narrow-web products in the United Kingdom, but will now be known as Solaris.
