Though FESPA 2005 witnessed many launches of new products and
services, the one that will have an everlasting impact on Indian screen
printing industry was the release of ‘Destination India’, a book on the movers
and shakers of the Indian screen printing industry.
When Mr Michael Robertson, President and CEO of Specialty Graphic
Imaging Association, USA released the compendium, at a simple ceremony on
May 31, 2005, it was witnessed by friends and well wishers and Indian
delegates to the world expo.
The book could said to be first of its kind publication on the Indian Screen
Printing industry and its timeliness and content was highly appreciated by all
those visited the stall of Screen Print India.
Lauding the publication as a very good source book on Indian specialty
graphic industry, Mr Robertson complemented its publishers Aditya
Exposition, the organisers of Screen Print India Exhibitions. He also
reiterated that at a time when the world is witnessing India’s efforts to
increase economic activity in local, regional and global markets, this
publication will be a great help to the many companies that are attracted to
those efforts and the exciting opportunities India
offers.
As another effort of Aditya Exposition to place the
INDIAN Screen Printing Industry on the international
arena, the book could be said to be an authentic
reference book and an invaluable guide for global
screen printing fraternity to know more about its
leading printers, importers, exporters, distributors and
manufactures.
Its content is divided into 3 sections: One each for
screen printers, distributors and manufacturers.
The entries are in alphabetical order makes it more
user-friendly.
Another important feature of the publication is
that it also contains a compact write-up on the
screen printing industry in India. It is for the first
time that somebody has taken the effort to chronicle
the Industry in all its details. It also contains a
rather timely article on Business outsourcing, the
current management system that many of the
world’s leading corporates are practicing. At a time
when India is emerging as an outsourcing hub, the
information is timely and would give ample
opportunities for foreign companies wanting to
enter India.
Besides, the appendix contains exhaustive notes
on Indian economy followed by Frequently Asked
Questions on FDI.
