Commemorating his birthday on August 2, former FESPA President Michel Caza was on hand
to open Screen Print India 2002 organized under the auspices of the Screen
Printers Association of India in Mumbai (Bombay) by Devang N. Seth (General
Secretary of SPAI, Aditya Expositions and Screen Printing India (magazine)
and Venu V. Bhagavan (Scridevi).
A guest of honor, Caza was invited to officially open the show, to present awards to winners of the screen printing competition, and give a full-day seminar on the screen printing of fine line halftones ... as well as to represent SGIA International. "With more people seeking to achieve high-quality screen printed images, the seminar - attended by 110 people - was successful," reports Caza. "The slow but effective growth of UV technology in India , as in many countries worldwide under environmental protection pressures, made the 150 lines/inch and finer print easier." With some of the larger American, Asian and European companies exhibiting, almost its three days.In his capacity as a member of the Academy of screen Printing Technology, Caza staffed an "emergency hospital" at the SGAI International booth... Answering technical Questions related to the application of screen printing technologies for graphic, textile and industrial applications. While in India, Caza had the opportunity to visit several screen printing and graphic imaging plants: Classic Stripe, an ISO 9002 company that mainly prints high-quality automotive products; Grafica Flextronica, a manufacturer of presses; Tarun Printing, which specializes in Past FESPA President Michel Caza officially opens Screen T-shirt and textile printing; and Anant Electronics, a company specializing in CD printing. "Compared to some of the giants in India, China, France, Austrelia, the UK and USA, this small company products only 25,000 CD's a day", notes Caza, "but it does so with of the world's best quality in terms of screen printing finesse (133 Lines / inch)". |
