Asia - Pacific Screen Printing & Graphic Imaging Association

Screen Print India 2000 was concluded on October 8, 2000 in Mumbai. It received excellent response from screen printing community not only from India, but also from various other countries. The total over 7200 visitors attended the show in the three days, despite of festival season.

The inauguration function started with lighting of Lamp by Mr. Song Yuzhe, the chairman of China SGIA who actively participated the show with Chinese delegation consisting of leading manufacturers and suppliers of screen printing inks, materials, equipment and services on a specially designed 'China Pavilion'.

The show was inaugurated by Mr. G.B. Parekh" the President of Screen Printing Association of India(SPAI) on 6th Oct. 2000 in the morning. The opening ceremony was followed by a brief welcome speech by Mr, G.B. Parekh and later Dr. M.S.Gokhale, Mg.Committee Member, SPAI re- leased Official Exhibition Directory of the show. Mr. Satish Rege, editor, Screen Print India thanked the visi- tors and all participating exhibitors in making their show a great success.

At the show SPAI office bearers with Mr. Song Yuzhe and other members visited each stall and exchanged views and talked in detail with exhibitors about their products and services. They also talked about market conditions and response to the show.

Mr. Ji Chul Shin, chairman of Screen Printing Association of Korea also headed a delegation to visit the show.
