Keyboards for industrial and computer equipment in high dust or humidity environments need special solutions. Hoffmann+Krippner have developed such a solution with an attractive, waterproof PC keyboard designed to meet and exceed the rigorous of these demanding environments.
The new keyboard is produced using a 150 µm thick Autotex V150 film. The surface of this high quality structured polyester film comprises a polyester base and a flexible, chemically bound, UV cured coating. Besides its attractive appearance, Autotex offers high resistance under conditions of severe mechanical stress, as well as resistance to most chemical substances and cleaning agents.

The surface structure of Autotex V150 is ideally suited for the touch-sensitive lens-shaped key tips that are applied to the Hoffman+Krippner keyboard using GT technology. This is a patented process enabling the manufacture of raised and optically clear key tips that are highly attractive, as well as being exceptionally robust. Because of its pleasant tactile features, the new PC keyboard is ideal for working places where a large amount of data has to be entered.

Thanks to the new keyboard’s features and its appealing aesthetic qualities, Hoffmann + Krippner was able to receive the coveted “Red Dot” award from Design Zentrum NRW (Design Centre North Rhine Westphalia).
